BES Lighting was established in March 1984 by Glenn and Annette Beatty in Rapid City, South Dakota. They sold the business to their son, Curt, and his wife, Darci, in 1995.
BES Lighting moved to a larger building in 2007. In its new location the Beattys have not only added more showroom space and inventory, they have also added display rooms so that customers can see what the lighting will look like in a home setting. There is a fully-equipped kitchen, a theater room complete with big screen and cinema-style seating, a living room, and a patio area that features outdoor and path lighting.
Recently, BES Lighting changed its name to BES Lighting and Appliances, adding a wide selection of Electrolux appliances at prices that match or beat other retailers while maintaining their position as lighting experts.
BES Lighting and Appliances is located at Tuscany Square, 333 Omaha Street, Suite 3 in Rapid City and is open Monday - Friday 9am-5:30pm (MT), Saturday 10am - 3:00pm (MT)
